Hi everyone,
I’m working on a new electronics project and could use some advice on selecting the right microcontroller. I need a versatile and reliable microcontroller for a project that involves controlling sensors, motors, and communication via UART and SPI.
The requirements are:
Low power consumption for battery operation
Multiple I/O pins (at least 10-15)
Good support for libraries and a strong developer community (since I'm not an expert)
Compatibility with Arduino IDE or any similar simple development environment
Preferably something cost-effective, since it's a hobby project ragdoll hit
I’ve been looking at options like the Arduino Uno and ESP32, but I’m not sure which would be better suited for my needs, or if there’s another microcontroller you’d recommend.
Has anyone used these, or do you have any other suggestions? Also, are there any common pitfalls I should watch out for when working with these types of microcontrollers?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
